Separate reminders from reflections
Use a simple page for practical tasks and another for observations about a lesson. A task needs a next action; a reflection may need time. Mixing them together makes both harder to return to.
Record the useful detail
Instead of writing only that an activity worked, note the instruction or example that helped. Keep reusable materials organized by what they are for. A clear filename can save more time than an elaborate filing system.
Keep student information private
Use the school’s approved systems for identifying student information and records. A public teaching journal can discuss an activity without naming a child or sharing private work. Follow local school guidance for photos, consent and classroom data.
