Listen to a sample
The narrator’s voice, pacing and recording style shape the experience. Try a sample before borrowing or buying. A book you struggled to read on paper may feel different aloud, and the reverse can be true as well.
Find a setting that suits listening
Household tasks or a quiet journey can provide a natural place for a chapter. Choose situations where listening will not distract you from traffic, instructions or other things that need your attention.
Keep the part you want to remember
Bookmark a passage or note its chapter rather than trying to remember a timestamp later. If you switch between print and audio, chapter names often make better reference points than percentages. Count reading in the way that makes the habit meaningful to you.
